Hamilton Square – Small action; big effect.

At a recent gathering of the Friends of Hamilton Square,  Philip Barton recalled a successful project by the Friends, who wanted to make a major difference in the appearance of the Square for everyone.

“When we decided to clear the front of 50 Hamilton Square of weeds, the Friends were given a couple of large garden waste bags by council contractors working in Hamilton Square. Then, at the end of their shift, the workers swung by and chucked the full garden waste bags in their truck.”

He was reminding the Friends that with local co-operation with Wirral Council small local actions can have a big area wide effect.
