Hamilton Square Conservation Area

Position of Hamilton Square in conservation area
Hamilton Square in Birkenhead is a unique gem of British architectural history and is the only remaining architecturally complete Georgian square in the whole of England.

This is why it needs extra protection from bad archtiectural designs; speculative building; and inconsiderate add-ons (like satellite dishes).

The way the UK law does this is via Planning Controls within a Conservation Area.

Unfortunatly, Hamilton Square and the wider conservation area,  is under constant threat from developers and the Hamilton Square Conservation Area Advisory Committee has a vital ongoing role in preserving this uniquely important heritage.
