Birkenhead and Tranmere has a long history, and a longer future. The local houses and buildings we see today can be retained and adapted now, so they meet our future needs while retaining our family and community roots.
An example is Hamilton Square in Birkenhead, which is a unique gem of British architectural history and is the only remaining architecturally complete Georgian square in the whole of England.
Hamilton Square and the wider conservation area is under constant threat from developers and the Hamilton Square Conservation Area Advisory Committee has a vital ongoing role in preserving this uniquely important heritage.
