Birkenhead and Tranmere in Bloom

This project brings a competitive sense to improving the area.

The project takes a page from the ‘Britain in Bloom’ book, while recognising the particular characteristics of the Birkenhead and Tranmere area.

It aims to encourage companies and residents to brighten up the street scene using planters, window boxes and bringing in as much natural beauty as possible.

If you want to take part, you will likely need some assistance making sure that you work within existing limitations such as :

  • Is the land your own, would the landlord object?
  • Are there planning restrictions?
  • or heritage restrictions?

For example, in Hamilton square, residents could face every single one of these obstacles.

We will be able to give you assistance in all these areas so that you can participate without having to worry about such things.

Maybe you would like to take part but you simply do not have the space yourself. We are also looking at community projects where people can work together to brighten up dull or depressing areas of the town.

In order to get this scheme off the ground we need enough people interested to take part. Maybe you would like to be one of them. If so, fill in the form below and we will get back to you.
